Born in Macedonia, a former Yugoslav Republic, Ms. Lale holds B.A. in Music Theory and Education as well as M.A. in Choir Conducting from the University of Skopje, Macedonia. Before relocating to Canada in 2004, she had a prolific career as a music educator, music festival adjudicator, choral workshops facilitator and choir director throughout Europe. She is a recipient of numerous awards from European choral competitions and festivals.
Since she moved to Canada in 2004 she maintains a successful music teaching studio, nourishing the European excellence in music education and inspiring generations of young artists reaching their musical goals. She is an eclectic musical professional, skilled in Piano Performance, Music Theory, Harmony, Music History. She also provides a vocal coaching services to aspiring singers.
Her unique teaching methods and her ability to recognize, inspire and nurture a young talent, made her one of the most sought after Music Pedagogues in Vancouver.
Aside from her Pedagogical endeavours, Ema established herself as a dazzling performer with her choirs.
She is a former Artistic Director of Cyrilika Slavic Chamber Choir with whom she realized many successful concert performances in Vancouver, B.C. and won awards on local and provincial choir competitions and festivals.
In 2022, she established Choir Eklektika (adult mixed choir) and in 2025 Eklektika Junior Choir, with the idea of presenting a very unique and musically diverse repertoire to the Vancouver audience. Aiming for an absolute authenticity in her performances, she has collaborated with many artists from different ethnic backgrounds, such as “Julio Avila Cuban Band”, “Ne Zhdali” Russian vocal ensemble, Serbian band “Partya Vancouver” Bosnian pianist Ms. Dunja Bohinc, Serbian clarinetist Mr. Milan Milosevic- to name a few- creating incredible culturally diverse musical synergy, that resulted with sold out concerts, greeted with standing ovations.
Ms. Lale strongly believes that music unites and knows no boundaries. Her energetic personality, creativity, extraordinary talent and the ability to artistically engage a whole group of musical enthusiasts, underpins Eklektika’s success.
My teaching philosophy is to create personalized lesson plans depending on my student's talent, ability and their general interest in music, that motivates each of them to reach their maximum potential.
